Roche’s Tarceva drug delays advance of lung cancer, study shows

Swiss drugmaker Roche said today, November 7, a Phase III study has confirmed that its drug Tarceva delays the advance of lung cancer when given immediately after chemotherapy.

The SATURN study showed that Tarceva extended the time patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer lived without their cancer getting worse, Roche said in a statement. It added that the results will be presented at a future medical meeting.

By 08:39 GMT, shares in the group were trading 2.24 percent higher at CHF169.00.
